چکیده

oDays High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) for analysis of phospholipids has traditionally employed ultraviolet detection of the eluted compounds. The evaporative laser light-scattering detector (ELSD) offers new opportunities for quantitative analysis of lipids. Phospholipids were isolated from crude and degummed oils prepared from soyheans subjected to storage at high moisture content. Anal· ytical and preparative separations of phospholipids by normal-phase HPLC were accomplished. Major class fractions were analyzed by transmethylation and capillary column chromatography for fatty acid composition, and by reverse-phase C-1S HPLC (RP-HPLC) for molecular species composition. The RP-HPLC-ELSD system was limited to the analysis of phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine.

Analysis of Tocopherols and Phytosterols in Vegetable Oils by HPlC with Evaporative Light - Scattering Detection 1

Methods were developed for the separation, detection, and quantification of tocopherols and phytosterols by high-performance liquid chromatography with an evaporative light-scattering detector. Four tocopherolsa, fJ, y and o-and four phytosterols-campesterol, fJ-sitosterol, brassicasterol, and stigmasterol-were analyzed in soybean, sunflower, low-erucic acid rapeseed (LEAR) and com oils. The us...

An improved method for the identification and quantitation of biological lipids by HPLC using laser light-scattering detection.

We have developed a simplified and improved high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method for the detection and quantitation of tissue lipid using a new laser light-scattering detector (Varex model ELSD II). This detector has a limit of sensitivity of 50 ng for neutral lipid and 200 ng for most phospholipids with excellent reproducibility. By coupling the ELSD II with a ternary gradient ...

Direct analysis of artemisinin from Artemisia annua L. using high-performance liquid chromatography with evaporative light scattering detector, and gas chromatography with flame ionization detector.

Since the isolation of artemisinin 32 years ago, it has been analyzed by different chromatographic techniques. This work compared the analysis of artemisinin from crude plant samples by GC with flame ionization detection (GC-FID) and HPLC with evaporative light scattering detector (HPLC-ELSD). Data is also presented indicating that GC is suitable for the quantification of two of artemisinin pre...

Simultaneous Determination of Four Active Ingredients in Sargentodoxa cuneata by HPLC Coupled with Evaporative Light Scattering Detection

A HPLC coupled with evaporative light scattering detection method had been developed for the simultaneous determination of 3,4-dihydroxyphenylethyl alcohol glycoside, salidroside, chlorogenic acid, and liriodendrin in the stem of Sargentodoxa cuneata. With a C18 column, the analysis was performed using acetonitrile and 0.2% formic acid aqueous solution as mobile phase in gradient program at a f...
